    Fantastic food. Unfortunately it feels that aesthetic has been prioritised over function so impossible to see the menu's in the dark and the stairs up and down to the toilets are in the pitch dark making the ascent or decent perilous. Our server was also a bit on the curt over-zealous side, at one point removing an empty plate from across the table, across a person eating while she was putting food in her mouth (in truth, the table should only be cleared once everyone has finished eating or if asked). This is compounded by the arrival process - no menus on arrival (or choice of table considering the outside section had almost no one seated in it the whole night), no drinks order taken before or with our meal order (he literally arrived at the table to take orders, then gave us menus and 5 minutes and then asked what we wanted for mains. He was a bit confused when we then tried to order drinks and starters). Its unfortunate as while the instagrammers and tik-tokkers (at the table next to us and behind us who spent the whole night photographing drinks, and food) will bring new people into the restaurant, the service and shortcomings wont be bringing people back (and the cornerstone of a great business is repeat guests).

    Can’t believe it was just a valentine’s set dinner We came there wanting to experience the Italian culture and trying the food. I reserved a booking for my Fiancé and myself. But walked out once the waiter told us it is a set menu. Really disappointed.

    Hi AJ, we’re sorry to hear you felt disappointed. For Valentine’s Day we operated on a set menu only, which was clearly communicated when your booking was confirmed. We sent the full set menu and pricing twice via WhatsApp to you, and explained that Valentine’s service would run exclusively on this format so guests knew exactly what to expect ahead of time. We’re happy to provide screenshots of these messages to you if helpful (unfortunately Dineplan won't allow me to add them here). As you chose not to stay for dinner, we were surprised to see one-star ratings for the food, value, service and ambience, as these unfortunately weren’t experienced on the evening. A small tip for the future: don’t ghost the restaurant messages 😉 , they usually contain important details designed to avoid exactly this kind of disappointment. You’re warmly welcome to join us on a regular service evening to experience Libertino as intended.

    We had a great evening , the food was superb , excellent service and the unique decor ambiance made a memorable evening .
