    Potatoes burnt, T bone stake still raw even after we asked for well done. The Table very small for 5 people! Waiter too busy to even attend to us as she should. definitely not coming back there with my family or friends EVER. Your chef needs help big time! You are in the heart of waterfront can’t offer such horrible service to visitors

    I ordered the salmon and egg benedict and requested to have it served on sourdough. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. The salmon was extremely salty, the sourdough portion was just one slice cut in half, and the eggs were not prepared as I had requested. However, what concerned me most was the service. The staff member serving our section asked a woman to get up from her seat so that other patrons could pass through. This was highly unprofessional, especially considering the restaurant was not busy and there was ample space available. The patron was still in the middle of her meal, yet it felt as though foreign visitors were given more courtesy than South Africans. We all pay the same for our meals — which may not be expensive for European visitors — but that should not result in local customers being treated with disrespect. The entire experience left me feeling disappointed and undervalued.

    Food portions and pricing here is great, the general ambiance of the place is amazing. Our server Brinsley was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel so welcome and looked after. It was such a unique, memorable experience that combined great food with sightseeing. A perfect way of ending our visit to Cape Town. Definitely coming back!.

    The Life Grand Café enjoys a prime location at the Waterfront, offering stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere. That said, the restaurant does tend to squeeze in quite a lot of people, which can make the space feel crowded and limit privacy, with guests often seated very close to one another. On the positive side, the staff are exceptionally friendly and the hospitality is excellent. Despite the bustling environment, the overall experience is delightful. I would definitely recommend visiting Life Grand Café Waterfront—just keep in mind that it can get busy. Still, the lively atmosphere and beautiful setting make it well worth the visit.
