LUPA Osteria is a bustling Italian restaurant serving authentic food in a warm and inviting setting . Whether you want a delicious bowl of pasta on a random Tuesday, country fresh salad, wood-oven baked pizza or a big celebration dinner with friends, LUPA offers all this and more.

We pride ourselves in staying true to our Italian roots and in keeping traditional Roman cuisine alive. Each Lupa has a designated pasta making & drying room where our fresh pasta is hand-made daily. A wood fired pizza oven is used for truly authentic pizzas and for baking many other traditional dishes for that extra flavour and authenticity.

Our wines list is extensive and offers a great selection of local and imported wine, beer and spirits to accompany your food or have a beautiful cocktail at aperitivo hour!

    We hadn’t been to Lupa for a few years, and came back after a friend recommended the restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal and the very pleasant staff.

    My daughter and I didn't enjoy our time at Lupa and we will not return again. Firstly I had made a reservation for 6pm-8pm on Christmas day which was the timeslot available on your website however when I told the waitress that we wanted to wait for 15 minutes we were told that the restaurant was closing. If the restaurant closes at that time why accept a reservation for that time! Secondly your waitresses were rude and made us feel uncomfortable. While we were having our meals they kept pacing and at times we found them staring at us and then talking amongst themselves as if we were intruding. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly. The food was not up to the standard I was accustomed your branch in Suncoast. Finally when the bill comes the tip was already added. I am okay with tipping and always tip but the fact she saw fit to add it was another way of showing us how little respect she has of us as a customer. Our Christmas dinner was ruined and we will never ever visit your establishment again!

    I can say that our Initial Waitress , was probably not interested as she took our order and then disappeared. No follow ups , no additional orders . Our waiter who eventually did come was a shining star , he was absolutely brilliant . Names Nhlaka : he was a gem and really made our experience amazing . We were even stopped by Njabulo who was very accommodating We had veg meals and they were amazing . Our veg Pizza and pasta was stunning . The booking procedure was simple and very wonderful .

    Lupa Osteria Florida Road I booked a table for 5 via Dineplan like I always do, but when my friends arrived, the staff couldn’t even find the booking. After my friends were seated, they said it took about 15 minutes before a waiter showed up. Since service was already slow, we ordered drinks and food together to save time. The restaurant was practically empty and tables around us were settling their bill and yet our food took 50-55 minutes to arrive, which was 3 sets of pasta dishes and kingklip. The waiter was uninterested, had an unpleasant and dismissive demeanor, she barely paid attention to us. My dish was the kingklip and even though I was famished, one bite of the fish was enough. It was slimy, smelled off, and clearly not fresh at all. When I complained, the manager (Themba I think) tried to convince me it was “because of the white wine.” Mind you, I’ve had the same dish at their Umhlanga branch and it definitely didn’t smell or taste like that. My friends weren’t impressed either with their pasta, it was mushy, stuck together, and clearly overcooked. If it wasn't for almost 2 hours wasted, we would have gladly gone to Doughed. Overall just bad vibes and bad food. Would not recommend at all.

    Love this spot. Cindy was an amazing waitress and we loved our food. lupa pasta, amy pizza and calzones were all devoured! fresh and perfect! thank you

    I'm giving the food 4 stars because I ordered a dish expecting something else and I received something entirely different but it tasted amazing regardless and everyone else I was with was happy with theirs. Good food, good service just amazing!
