    Great spot, with everything for everyone on the menu. The music is very load in certain areas, but I think its Monte's speakers on the stoep. But great experience, and they were fully booked. Food is delicious.

    The food was good, but the service was very poor. We had to ask for menus. Drink orders took long. Everyone received their food except me which only came out when everyone had already finished eating. I ordered something straight forward from the menu so there was no reason for the delay unless the waiter didn't place my order which goes back to poor service. I also don't believe you getting value for your money because you don't even get a side dishes with your mains when ordering a steak, sides are all charged as an extra. If it wasn't for the good food, I don't think I would go back or recommend Malt Barrel & Fire to my friends and family.
