    The Pizza was excellent, the two pasta dishes that we ordered were really not good at all. Pasta was stodgy and had no flavour. Most disappointing. Would go back any time for the pizza, pasta not. Service was good.

    This was not our first foray into the small, quiet, mountainside delicatessen shopping retreat that encircles Massimo's. We were returning from a theatre matinee in Camps Bay and looking for a bit of warmth to escape the early evening Winter chill, an aspect that Massimo's always delivers on, having the advantage of a large woodfired oven dominating the dining area. It is not for no reason that the restaurant proudly displays winning the best pizza in Africa prize. For my money these may be the best pizzas in the known universe with many, many other quirky delicacies to choose from as an alternative and a broad choice of beverages including Massimo's own home brews. This is a special place and while we may stray further afield in our search for something delicious, we will always gladly return to this familiar family favourite that always more than delivers.

    I was blown away by all the vegan options and can't wait to come back to try more! This is definitely my favorite pizza in Cape Town. Lovely friendly and helpful staff too, and perfect atmosphere for date night.

    Massimos definitely deserve tag of best pizza in Africa. Thin crust and beautifully made. Friendly service. Highly recommended
