Medeo restaurant at the Palazzo offers a distinctly Mediterranean inspired menu prepared with excellent South African produce and paired with some of the country’s top wines. The Executive Chef and his team present a selection of classic dishes and have created delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus in one of Fourways’ best restaurants.

The restaurant’s large terrace and deck area overlooks the beautiful Palazzo koi pond as well as the citrus trees and roses of the hotel’s Tuscan gardens. Whether you choose to dine inside or enjoy the warm South African climate alfresco, Medeo is one of the most beautiful restaurant settings in Johannesburg.

The menu at Medeo can be paired with an excellent wine list that includes a selection of rare Auction Wines.

    The only issue that could be done better is to not allow patrons to have cell phone calls on speaker in and amongst other patrons. May seem a petty issue but due to the close proximity of the tables on the deck it is extremely irritating having someone doing a Whatsapp call on speaker. Yes, the right thing would be to ask the patron to stop but it may cause unnecessary friction spoiling what is supposed to a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Maybe it should rather be an issue pro-actively managed by your staff.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our High Tea experience. The food was amazing and we didn’t feel rushed at all, but our waiter was still very attentive.

    A wonderful High Tea at Medeo Restaurant. A beautiful setting with quality food and service. Enjoyed the savory selection available . We would like to see more delicate cakes, such as petit fours, macarons, opera cake and mini pavlova, which seem to have been taken off the menu since our last visit. Christmas fruit cake also would be a nice addition during the festive season as per the Ritz hotel, UK, High tea. Thank you for a wonderful experience at Medeo.
