Medeo restaurant at the Palazzo offers a distinctly Mediterranean inspired menu prepared with excellent South African produce and paired with some of the country’s top wines. The Executive Chef and his team present a selection of classic dishes and have created delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus in one of Fourways’ best restaurants.

The restaurant’s large terrace and deck area overlooks the beautiful Palazzo koi pond as well as the citrus trees and roses of the hotel’s Tuscan gardens. Whether you choose to dine inside or enjoy the warm South African climate alfresco, Medeo is one of the most beautiful restaurant settings in Johannesburg.

The menu at Medeo can be paired with an excellent wine list that includes a selection of rare Auction Wines.

    I really enjoyed the high tea experience, the food was really good (although I would have liked to have some warm savoury treats), the desserts were so good ill even try to make them at home. The tea was so good (especially crème caramel) that I wanted to buy them (if possible can you make them for sale at the restaurant). The waiters and staff were so friendly, helpful and kind (100/10 for them 😊).

    On Saturday 22 August 2026 I celebrated my 50th birthday at Medeo Restaurant with a Vegan Afternoon Tea for 17 guests. Restaurant manager Timothy, as well as Executive chef Lefa truly went above & beyond to ensure that this was a fabulous event befitting of a 5 star hotel such as the Palazzo. The whole team's attention to detail was phenomenal & all of my guests were suitably impressed with the ambience, service & food quality. My husband & I have been frequenting the Palazzo hotel, including Medeo Restaurant, for the past 10 years & it consistently exceed our expectations. You really cannot go wrong with hosting a function here & their vegan options (with advance notice) are every bit as good as the rest of their menu.
