Welcome to Mila at Doolhof Mila is a relaxed day restaurant on Doolhof Wine Estate in Wellington, set in the estate’s original 19th-century wagon house. Filled with natural light and surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the farm.

We serve fresh, seasonal dishes paired with Doolhof’s award-winning wines - all in a warm, welcoming setting.

While you’re here, enjoy wine tastings, picnics, e-bike rentals, walking trails, horse riding lessons, pony rides, and a jungle gym for the kids.

    It takes a short, but very special road trip from central Wellington to where Doolhof lies hidden in a mysterious kloof in the mountains. Quaint buildings surrounded by grassy paddocks and a sunny terrace, and an elegant room. The acoustics are poor. What happened to the big rug, which softened the clatter of the restaurant chatter and created a warm and luxurious mood? A shared salad (Caprese delicious) really should be presented with a spoon and fork, wine is little pricey, but a special lunch nevertheless. Thank you

    Went for the ambience, but was blown away by the whole experience. Definitely one of the nicer breakfasts I had in a while.

    Service was unacceptable. We arrived at 19h00 and we were rushed to order, eat and leave! We were told that the kitchen closes at 19h00 and they made us felt that they did us a favour to bring the food at 19h30. I brought friends to share the “great experience” which was not the case on Wednesday. Out of previous experiences I know that the kitchen closes only at 20h00. Food was great, but due to the bad service I will not go again and would not recommend others.

    We had dinner at Mila's on Wednesday 20 May 2026. The setting is beautiful and the staff friendly. The service is excellent and the food & wine was great. True value for money.

    Due to the weather the restaurant was closed, but our supper was delivered to the tent,awesomeness. Thnx to the staff and to Jc who did the delivery.
