Situated on the beautiful Lourensford Wine Estate at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains in Somerset West, The Millhouse Kitchen offers a beautiful venue to enjoy a meal or celebrate a special event.

Owner Rob Smailes and Chef Gustaaf Boshoff's aim is to create a neighbourhood feel where guests can relax while enjoying a meal together. Our menus are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and children are always welcome..

    We've eaten at Millhouse many times over the years. We.always recommend it as a family-friendly spot and love taking guests there for breakfast. This time, it was not the case. We took my mom there for her bday breakfast and the entife experience was marred by poor service which we've never experienced before. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive, seeing how tables who sat down after us, all got their food before us. We had three little kids with us who were all starving by the time the food came (around 11:30am after we arrived around 9:45) Not sure what went wrong, was the food order not put in on time, was there an issue in the kitchen or what, but only afer we tracked down a manager (inside as a manager never came outside to check on us) did our waitress come out to apologise for the delay. Appreciated the birthday cake, but it was too little too late as the experience was already ruined by that point. Unfortunately, a very dissappointing experience this time round.
