    My daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea at the Saxon. Staff on the day Faith, Expert and another lovely friendly lady couldn't do enough to ensure we had a memorable day. The teas were delightful as were the sweets, the savoury options required some tweaking which Faith made possible. A thoroughly memorable experience.

    Absolutely phenomenal high tea experience. Faith was an incredible host and server. The food was well thought out, high quality, and the tea selection was fascinating to be taken through. All in all, every staff member we encountered from the gate to the lounge was immaculate. This stacks up to all 5 star high tea experiences I have had overseas.

    The music was a bit loud as the people were all trying to talk over it. Got better when it was only the saxophonist playing. I paid when making a booking and was shocked when I was given a bill of R200 on the day as Surcharge and had to tip the waiter. I feel like it's a rip off to be made to pay R200 to the hotel's staff. Why doesn't the hotel pay them a salary? What would have happened if I didn't have that R200 because my assumption was that I already paid for my Afternoon Tea? The service was excellent as usual and so was the food.
