Some of the best ideas are born in moments that don’t feel big at the time — and that’s exactly how Mud & Muse started. It was during a rugby game at Ellis Park, surrounded by the roar of the crowd, that two friends started dreaming out loud. We pictured a place where anyone could walk in, feel at home, and let their creativity spill out in whatever shape or colour it wanted to take. That small spark grew, piece by piece, until it became this — a space where art, coffee, and community come together in the most beautiful mess.

    I brought my family from Bloemfontein for something to eat and paint. They were very impressed. The food was amazing, big portion size, the atmosphere was great and the service was friendly.
