At Old Road Wine Company, our winery and restaurant is a colorful visual tribute to the artisans of the past and boasts a beautiful location tucked in between Franschhoek Old Main Road and the railway line.

Located at the entrance of the town, restaurant curator and expert wine host Carika Moller is ready to welcome you with unconventional wines and tastings in the stylish tasting room.

You can also look forward to sundowner wines on the deck with a view of the Franschhoek Mountains while enjoying delicious contemporary cuisine under the creative watch of Chef Marlin Clayton.

    Felt the cheese plan was overpriced for what you get. But everything else was absolutely amazing.. I highly recommend the brisket pizza.

    Food and wine was superb value in presentation, quality and taste. Would recommend that the kitchen could cut back a little on quantity without reducing value as we are a family of big eaters and not one of us was able to finish all three courses and clear our plates as would be normal. Service was very friendly and efficient, always making us feel well attended to, without being over-bearing. The only star removed on ambience was just for families to remember that as this is also a superb wine tasting venue, some of the other patrons can get a bit loud, particularly later in the day. May be worth having a quick scan as you approach your table and asking to be seated away from the group that are on the sauce. Overall highly recommend for value and quality, we will return.

    I would most definitely not recommend the Old Road Wine Co. We made a group reservation to come and experience the Old Road Wine Co. from far. However, upon arrival we were treated in a rude and condescending manner, by none other than the manager. When I spoke to him to address his attitude and ask that he apologise, he merely said that if I feel that this is how he treated us, then it is on me. No apology, just back chatting(or cheeky response) without any inclination of trying to understand. The culture of your business leaves much to be desired. Overall, the experience left me with an extremely bad taste!
