At Old Road Wine Company, our winery and restaurant is a colorful visual tribute to the artisans of the past and boasts a beautiful location tucked in between Franschhoek Old Main Road and the railway line.

Located at the entrance of the town, restaurant curator and expert wine host Carika Moller is ready to welcome you with unconventional wines and tastings in the stylish tasting room.

You can also look forward to sundowner wines on the deck with a view of the Franschhoek Mountains while enjoying delicious contemporary cuisine under the creative watch of Chef Marlin Clayton.

    I find it amazing that staff is more interested in their phone than they are in guests. Given there where no openings to book a reservation at 18.00h and 19.00h I thought the restaurant would be full, unfortunately there where only 3 tables taken. We didn’t got any Parmesan/chilies with the pizza as well. Meanwhile the other tables around did get it. Besides all of this there was no beer as it was on the menu and nobody told us up front.

    We received exceptional service from the team at Old Road Wine. The food and view was amazing , and so was the aesthetics.

    The wine wasnt impressive. Horrible cover background music. But the pizza, the beer, the blended nature on the deck, the sweet and responsive staff, i highly reccommend for a sundowner. Great view.
