    For value this is a winner. Value on all fronts, quality, service, ambience and comforts. On special occasions, they even go that bit extra, making you the star of the show . Provided you select the specials on the lunch menu, including a beer, expect R215 to R250 pp.

    Absolutely loved the food at Ongetem—Chef Bertus Basson and his team are doing something special here. Every single dish was packed with incredible local flavor, beautifully cooked, and just flat-out delicious. If I have to nitpick, the kitchen was a tiny bit slow to get the mains out, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. But honestly, once the food arrived, the flavors completely made up for the wait. Will definitely be back for more!

    We were served by a very friendly waiter. Unfortunately most of our meals arrived cold, including the fries. One of the steaks was overcooked and that was rectified immediately, so that was great. I really wanted to love this but unfortunately left disappointed. The cocktails are FANTASTIC though!!!
