    One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in South Africa. We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and from start to finish, everything was absolutely exceptional. Every single touchpoint was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. From the doorman who welcomed us, to Alex who confirmed my booking seamlessly, to Sengzo our waiter who delivered outstanding service, and Sean and the management team who clearly run a world-class operation — you got everything right. The experience wasn’t just about the food (which was incredible), it was about how you made us feel. Celebrated. Valued. Taken care of. I can confidently say this is, in my opinion, the number one restaurant in South Africa from an overall experience perspective. Thank you for making such a special occasion unforgettable. Truly well done.

    My fiancée and I recently visited your establishment to celebrate her birthday—an occasion I had clearly highlighted when makingthe reservation. I had also requested assistance with a small birthday gesture to conclude the evening, which I was happy to pay for. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by poor service from our waiter, Senzo. When I asked for cocktail recommendations, it felt like an inconvenience. The situation worsened when the air-conditioning unit above our table began leaking onto me. His explanation—that an open door was the cause—felt dismissive and unhelpful. Your manager, however, was the saving grace. They handled the situation with professionalism, apologised sincerely, and moved us to another table promptly. Regrettably, the service continued to decline. When I requested shooters, Senzo responded by saying we were “not big on shooters,” which was both presumptuous and inappropriate. I ultimately had to stand up myself, where I could clearly see a bottle of Don Julio at the bar, and proceed with ordering. Most disappointing was that the birthday gesture I had requested—and reminded him about—never materialised. This was meant to be a special evening, and that moment cannot be recreated. Your food was good, and the ambiance is impressive, but service is a critical part of the experience. Quite frankly, I have received better service at Spur. While I understand one employee does not define the entire establishment, this experience has left a lasting negative impression. Regrettably, I would not recommend or return

    We had an awesome evening. The menu at The Room was a bit limited. I feel like you guys need to expand on it. The ambiance was beautiful. Music was good. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to friends. It was a really classy experience. Thank you!
