Paputzis is a beloved Linden, Randburg restaurant that has operated as a Coffee Shop since 1997. After beautiful renovations and extensions, we now also offer Paputzis@Night. Our restaurant retains its informal Café style for casual daytime drinks and dining, including breakfasts, light lunches, coffee, homemade teatime favourites and, of course, wine. For Paputzis@Night, we have an à la carte menu featuring traditional and contemporary favourites, including lamb shank, oxtail, King prawns, duck, poké bowls, hamburgers, and blackboard specials.
The seating in our lush garden includes tranquil areas, a place for happy gatherings, a playground and a smokers’ corner. On our lovely Farmhouse stoep, there are three patio areas that can be enclosed if needed. For inside seating, there are three cosy rooms, including one with a fireplace.
We love to entertain for special occasions and celebrations, tailoring menus to the host’s/hostess's specific requirements.
We have a liquor licence and offer a variety of wines and beverages, but you are welcome to bring your own wine (for which we charge a minimal corkage fee).

    Never disappointed with a meal at Paputzis. New items added to their special menu - the Chicken Cordon Bleu was great, served with salad and a very generous helping of chips.

    "We had such an incredible lunch at Paputzis. From the seamless booking with prompt reminders to the warm welcome from the team, the staff and owners made us feel truly valued from the start. The venue upgrade is wonderful, and sitting at a lovely marble-topped table overlooking the pristine gardens made for a deeply relaxing atmosphere. The food was beautifully served—the mussels with toasted health bread were delicious, the pancakes were fantastic, and the desserts provided a perfect finish. With impecable service and friendly smiles every step of the way, we cannot wait to return and highly recommend it to friends and family."

    Paputzis is my go to happy place ... every time without fail ... small gathering of old friends or a 90 odd life celebration event ... from the first welcome home greeting by John ... a seriously distinguished butler professional, whom man's the parking lot ... to each of the wonderful attentive hosting staff ... every time is a valued special time of new memories curated in the most gorgeous space around love, laughter and food ... hmmm when do I qualify for shares at my home / office away from but seamlessly part of both my realities .... one of the few places in Joburg where one gets to soak up the lovely weather and oddballness of other Joburgers without staring back over dreaded parking lots!!!

    Good morning, the food was delicious and well presented. Our waitress was amazing, excellent service, she was very attentive, a beautiful young lady. Our experience at Paputzis was a amazing, we'll certainly be back. Thank you so much.
