Paserene is a small, family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda, the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end, luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced, and artwork on the labels, are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy.

The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes, the order of "traveling and free" birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.

    We had a pleasant visit , wines were average , waiter was excellent and the food average . Beware the water charge of R75 per bottle .

    Beautiful views from a great tasting room. Very good quality wine and an excellent cheese platter. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon

    While the food was good, the value for money was not. It was quite expensive for the amount that we received. A jam or a liver pate could be added to the platter, and maybe some crackers, as well as a few more meats.

    The experience was amazing loved the wine tasting. I loved the person who was our wine guide. Talking us through each and every bottle. The scenery 😍 oh my god. The best I have seen so far. I am definitely visiting again
