Paserene is a small, family operated winery owned by Martin Smith and Ndabe Mareda, the sole purpose of which is to produce high-end, luxury wines. Great care was given to ensure that the wines produced, and artwork on the labels, are truly authentic to its “sense of place and people” and will guarantee a lasting legacy.

The name Paserene comes from the Latin word Passeriformes, the order of "traveling and free" birds containing swifts and swallows. Paserene is situated in the quaint town of Franschhoek and is home to their award-winning wine range. A professional and contemporary tasting lounge is situated on the property.

    Excellent wine venue, with very knowledgeable staff, friendly atmosphere and beautiful setting… and that all doesn’t even touch on the wine!

Unfortunately, this past Saturday was unexpectedly busy. As it is currently our quieter winter season, and with some of our team members on annual leave, the volume of guests exceeded what we would typically experience on a winter Saturday. While this provides some context, it is by no means an excuse, and we sincerely apologise that your visit was impacted.     I did not eat therefore no star there but I am oooking forward to experiencing their breakfast and wine pairing which is unusual. The "geez" (energy/💯) you get from the staff and management was so welcoming and all they want to do is make you happy. Thank you

    A beautiful wine farm with exceptional wines, outstanding service, and a peaceful ambience. The tasting experience is first-class, and the views are breathtaking. A must-visit in the Cape Winelands!

    Great service and lovely explanation by the host, Reeve, with wines being delivered perfectly. We only had olives for food, which were also good.
