    By far the best Italian restaurant in Pretoria. The decor and ambience is perfect. The chefs in the middle of the restaurant quietly and effectively creating their magic. The prawn starter with avo and tomato is my ultimate favourite, flavoursome and perfect balance of spices. Their new lobster dish - oh my gosh? Perfecto! Every Bite is perfect, sweet, creamy melt in the mouth flavours. Tiramisu, as always, my husband’s favourite. With our bottle of creation Sauv Blanc, we were in culinary heaven. Pure bliss! Dont waste your money in other places with poor service, loud and noisy overcrowded dining and average food! Life is too short to miss out on a beautiful dining ecperience at Pasta Barra.

    The food is definitely prepared by some great chefs. I only wish you could choose the type of pasta. I had the Salmon con Prosecco with ribbons, I would give it 7 stars if it was served with linguine/tagliatelle. Pricey options but worth it. The ambience is second to none and was made better by the warm service. I highly recommend the patio seating, it’s intimate and inviting.
