    One of Those Places You Just Keep Coming Back To This must have been our 6th or 7th visit to Pasta Bara, and it has become one of those restaurants we keep returning to without hesitation. The reason is simple — the food is consistently excellent. The pasta is clearly fresh and homemade, and you can taste the care in every dish. Rich sauces, beautiful flavours, and plates that arrive looking as good as they taste. The restaurant itself has a great energy. The layout is warm and welcoming, and it’s almost always buzzing with people — which tells you everything you need to know. A word to the wise: book ahead, because tables fill up quickly. The mussels are an absolute must. Packed with flavour and perfectly prepared. The fillet and pasta dishes are also exceptional and easily among the best we’ve had. Pasta Bara has that rare combination of great food, great atmosphere, and consistency, which is why we keep coming back. Already looking forward to seeing what delicious additions arrive on the winter menu. Jen

    What a great lunch yesterday after our golf rained out! Two homemade pastas with ragu, and one hake with Asian vegetables. Presentation, as always, exceptional. Taste excellent. Had a long chat to the co-owner about wine mark-ups which is why I awarded only 3 stars for Value. Flawless otherwise.
