Taking place every week, our dinner and movie nights have quickly become a popular Cape Town event. Whether its a special date night or evening out with your girl friends, our retro cinema makes for a memorable night out in the city. Offering 29 luxurious cinema seats, our Odeon Cinema is conveniently situated on the ground floor of the hotel adjacent to our private conference and event rooms. The cinema is available to in-house guests at no charge during their stay, where they can enjoy a range of movie, series or live sporting events. Our cinema also hosts our popular dinner and movie evenings, which take place every week, where we invite members of the public to join us for the ultimate date night in the city centre.

    Hi. I had my daughter's birthday party at the Odeon cinema on 27th Aug. I was appealed at the lack of service we received and the unprofessional manner in which we were dealt with. Nothing was prepared for us on arrival. The seating area was dirty and was still being mopped and cleaned. There were no staff to attend to us. Everything ran late with lunch as the waiter was slow and often nowhere to be found. I can't accept the fact that after spending almost R3000 on this booking plus additional items ordered that we received this level of pathetic service. The booking was for 8 little girls to have lunch at 12pm and watch the movie at 1pm. The food took more than 30min to arrive and as a result the girls had almost no time to eat and thus 90% of their meals was wasted. What was more pathetic is that when going down to the cinema their movie snacks were not there. I had to ask some random person about it and was told that they weren't even aware that the party booking had been made. How is this possible? So they only started getting the popcorn, milkshakes and sweets prepared after the movie had been on for almost 30min already. The movie snacks were pathetically put together because quite clearly this was a rushed job. The drinks had no lids. No the popcorn was burnt and the snacks were missing items. This completely unacceptable and I feel that we were robbed of R3000. Other parents have now asked us about our experience having our daughter's party hosted here. And unfortunately I have to convey all of the above to them. If this establishment values their reputation and wants to mitigate against any further reputational damage then I expect to be compensated for this disgusting experience.
