In the early 1940s, wine farmers in the Perdeberg region grew dissatisfied with the low prices they were getting for their premium quality grapes. Then an astute farmer named Jan Rossouw suggested they begin producing their own wine and Perdeberg Cellar was born! We pressed our first grapes manually in 1942 and while we have come a long way in terms of technology, we are still renowned for our hands-on approach!

Disappointed to be told that a menu item - the eisbein was sold out despite our trying to get the waiter's attention to place our order for at least 20 minutes. The service was very poor and the waiters not attentive enough and did not seem to be sufficiently well trained. The restaurant was not too busy however the service level was lacking

We enjoyed a standard tasting and a cellar masters tasting. Some great wines and enjoyable interaction with the tasting steward. We followed these tasting with a MCC and candy floss tasting as well as a chocolate pairing. All in all a great experience. Walked out with some Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Malbec. We then joined the restaurant for a Mediterranean pizza and a glass of GOAT Chenin Blanc. Amazing meal. We will be back!

This was the 1st of 3 wine farm stops of our day. The service was not good at all. The guy presenting the wine tasting did not even explain the wines to us. Everything was just dumped. He told us some story that we could hardly hear, about the grapes burning on the way to Paarl, but that was about it. No ambiance at all. We bought 6 bottles of wine, paid and left. On the way to our next wine farm, I got a call saying we didnt pay for the cheese board. I then asked the lady to send me a payment link as I was not going to drive back.
