The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

At Piatto we are proud to offer you an exceptional experience with efficient service and quality. We focus on providing great value for money in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our menu boasts a huge variety of dishes and our food caters to all palettes.

    I booked a table for 6 people to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the start. We were seated in a dark, cold area at the back, which wasn’t what we expected for a special occasion. When we asked to move, we were told other tables were booked, yet later we saw one become available. The biggest issue was the food. I ordered a well-done steak but received it medium rare, and the presentation was not great. I couldn’t even finish my meal. The manager was called but only gave a brief apology, which didn’t feel sincere considering the situation. Sadly, this ruined what was meant to be a special birthday celebration. I hope the restaurant takes feedback seriously and improves both service and customer care.

    Booked for 5, there was no table ready for us, we had to sit at table for 4, as other tables were not free to use. Kids running around screaming. Only had 1 drink and left, no one took food order. Then mess up drinks bill, after asking for it for 3 times.
