The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

    The service was way to bad for me on my birthday. The waitress did not provide a good service for me actually it was the worst amongst the worst. When we ordered our drinks I asked for ice during ordering time because I prefer iced juice and it's spring time. She did not want to provide ice at first, as she said the juice is cold enough. I told her it fine she brought the drinks for me & my friend. I told her to provide me with ice again because the juice is not cold on the level I want. She agreed but I had to wait for 20+min I ended being seen (supervisor/manager) than I am not okay on my day, then asked for a waitress to bring ice for me since it has been long, even that procedure too time, might you I am sitting next to a bar. When we ordered food I asked to order chicken schnitzel as our starter rather, she said we should just order everything now including our main meal, she was overpersuating us to do what we do not want and she was rushing us and not giving us a chance to furtherly ask also, (which resulted me unable to ask more about the meal, and including what i do not eat/allergic to in my meal(that made me to be irritated a lot also. We waited for food like no buddy's business it took more than 30. The food arrived we ate our starter, and our main meal was already cold like and DID not enjoy anymore, this was the main reason I wanted to eat as my starter and then the rest will follow, we asked for toothpick also there was no response we ended up asking another guy from the bar because we were not properly serviced.Other than that the place 10/10 inside & outside and it so peaceful and chilled, aesthetics 10/10, music 10/10, but not expected the service that I got it ruined my whole enter day and I had to tip her the money out of my generosity although I recieved hell of service.

    Absolutely great experience. My daughter's 16th birthday was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for the beautiful service and the the waiters were also tops.

    I had booked for My birthday dinner. The hostess on arrival had no idea and had no booking at hand, very shoddy arrival. I ordered a steak which was tough and for Med rare very poor quality. My wife had the chicken Curry, which was terrible and even spices used, was not for butter chicken, my son enjoyed his food which was the only positive. I didn't see a manager present checking on guest's which I could have given feedback. It was my birthday and didn't want to make a fuss. Not seeing me back.
