The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

At Piatto we are proud to offer you an exceptional experience with efficient service and quality. We focus on providing great value for money in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our menu boasts a huge variety of dishes and our food caters to all palettes.

    The place was very packed and I had to wait to be given a table regardless of me booking. We asked for a baby seat and waited forever until we had to stand up and look for it. Then was given a table where it was very dark

    The service was great and the food however I did not like where I was seated I was hoping that since I made a reservation I would get a table on the outside where the view is nice.

    Words cannot ever describe our experience everytime me and my family visit Piatto Mall of the South. Last night was my daughter's birthday and i made reservations for a table and we were welcomed with so much warmth even though we were late because of the rain driving from the Vaal. Our host bhut' Banele was so so friendly, funny and incredibly professional. Thank you so much for your service my daughter had an amazing one!!!!!

    It was a lovely place to celebrate a family members birthday. It is always lovely to see our favourite waitress, Portia, and it was lovely to be served by Zama. Both managers came to check in on us, which was lovely. The two downsides to our evening were: We made a booking on DinePlan, to which none of the servers knew what we were speaking about and told us to sit anywhere. There was a family with a young child running up and down and screaming. It caused not only a disruption for our family and the other customers, but also for the staff - as the child was running about amongst them and bumping into them. The child didn't stay to where the parents/family were located, and ran literally the entire restaurant full. I really do enjoy this Piatto, and would love it if the managers could address the DinePlan issue - either implement it and let it work well, or eradicate the system - and the noisy customers (young or old) - speak to the customers and politely request that they please keep the noise level down and don't bother the entire restaurant and staff. Besides that, a lovely evening out. Thank you.
