The Piatto Restaurant and Grill story began in 2001 when the founder, Michael Yiallouris opened the first Piatto in Eastgate Shopping Centre. Today Piatto has grown to 15 stores across South Africa and we are planning to open many more.

    Food was great, however we had a big table and number of trainee waiters, large tables can be overwhelming for trainee waiters - I would have expected the restaurant to allow their trainees to learn on smaller tables. One of the trainees dropped the cans onto the kids and then another one split wine on me while attempting to fill my glass. Orders also did a get confused.
