    Hi, I had booked your private dining room in May/25 for Dec/25.dep of R 10,000. Everything, menu, wines etc was arranged and agreed for my 33 guests, and it was agreed we have 2 waitron assigned to the private dining room. It was my 80th BD a milestone. Firstly, the person at the entrance desk had no idea of the different functions in the restaurant that evening. She made our elderly guests wait for half an hour at the entrance instead of directing them to the room. They called us to ask where we were. We had one waiter, John, who struggled serving our guests drinks. We started the function guests had dry mouths! Nothing to drink. I had paid up front for wines and bubblies to be available in the room on arrival. A second waiter came but he was busy somewhere else and he was slow and could not keep up.! Our meals came out as planned. Delicious and our guests enjoyed it. I had 1 vegetarian guest...he found a metal screw in his food! The meal was removed by John. Your manager came by concerned and eager to correct the situation. My guest waited 25 mins, nothing. All he wanted was some pasta with some type of cheese to have a meal. He received s bowl of steamed broccoli. In desperation we told your manager to forget the meal as everyone else had eaten. My guest's desire to eat had passed and he would enjoy dessert instead. Dessert too was very much delayed. My biggest complain is that Pigalle did not honour their commitment to take care of my guests as Megan, your events manager and I had agreed to in writing and in person weeks before the event. There was no waiter on hand to serve wines or bubbly as my guests arrived. Also pre arranged. That was disappointing. Because we were all taken up celebrating my bday and socializing, my guests did not notice the silent hiccups going on. Drink glasses not replenished were most visible to me ! We ended the night with the vegetarian meal being deducted off my bill for which I say thank you . We will be back for sure a #1 plac

    We celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday and she really had a great time with her friends. The food was delicious, and the music was top notch, we danced our hearts out. We will definitely visit again.

    Xmas lunch. Expensive, poor food, noisy band and night club like atmosphere. Very poor response from management when email complaint sent.

    Pigalles standards have really dropped from the last time we were there. The service was extremely slow. We arrived at 7pm and only got our mains after 10pm. The food was good but the wait was excessive. The band was only booked to play until 11pm on a New Year’s Eve seriously???? We paid the band to play until 1am as we had special guests from Australia. The condition of the bathrooms were not great with paper lying the whole place full. You need someone to constantly attend to clearing the bathrooms. The dessert only came after 11pm. A picture of disorganisation I have to say.

Waiting several hours between courses is not the level of service we strive to deliver, and we fully understand how this detracted from what should have been a special evening. We are also concerned by your comments regarding the condition of the bathrooms. While we do have a dedicated team member assigned to restroom maintenance during service, it is clear that our procedures were not effective on the night. We are already reviewing and strengthening our bathroom cleaning and monitoring processes to ensure this does not happen again. With regard to the entertainment and overall flow of the evening, we acknowledge your frustration and will be conducting a full internal review to better align service timing, entertainment scheduling, and guest expectations during peak events. We would appreciate the opportunity to engage with you further and will be reaching out via the email address provided to better understand the sequence of events, establish the facts, and provide more detailed feedback.
