    Delicious food and ambience, decor dated but once you got the yummy food and fantastic service with background music you forgot about all that. Trevor our waiter was excellent, will be back

    I have been a fan of Pigalle for many years, and my family have celebrated many occasions there, but the mothers day lunch was such a disappointment. The service was terrible, the food was not cooked property, and overall the experience was not at all enjoyable. Pigalle has truly lost its way. Despite giving our full orders t our waiter to avoid delays, we still waited almost 45 minutes in between courses. There was no one on the floor giving us any reason, checking in on the tables, or following up on what was taking so long with everything. Our waiter was nowhere to be found, and we had to constantly call on other waiters to follow up on our food and drink orders. Not that they ever came back to us anyway. The live music is something that Pigalle is know for, and although the singer was great, the music was far too loud. It was impossible to have a conversation with anyone at our table. You could see other customers all just waiting for the singing to end so that they could have a conversation with the person next to them without having to scream into their ear. As for the food. The steak was severely overcooked, the fish was dry, and some of the dishes at our table did not have all the elements that they were meant to have. The presentation was also severely lacking. Every main looked like it was just flung on the plate. Overall, it was such a bad experience. Very disappointing for a restaurant that was so popular in Cape Town. Warren used to have that place running like a well oiled machine, and it was a true joy to be there for an event or just an evening out. But after this experience I doubt I will be returning again.

    Amazing experience as usual at Pigalle! The place was packed so dessert did take quite long after dinner was finished though. The live music and dancing was the highlight of the evening.
