Established in 1990 Pirates Steakhouse has been one of Plumstead’s top dining destination for more than three decades winning a number of awards for excellence.

This family-owned business continues to offer local residents good quality, value for money meals, with an in-house Dining Club offering discounts to regulars; signing up is both free and easy.

In addition to the great food and friendly service they have some of Cape Towns top musicians performing in the restaurant nightly.

The separate pub area alongside the restaurant caters for both sport lovers and party goers with big screen TV’s and a dee jay every night till 4am. The kitchen is open around the clock with the main menu on offer till 2am, pizzas till 5am and pub burgers, toasted sandwiches and chips available 24/7.

    All in all it was a great experience considering one could get a decent meal at 10 pm at night. A little noisy in the supposed quieter section and as excellent as our waitress was, service was slightly slow. Our waitress was rushed off her feet, whilst the others seemed to not be busy or show much interest in anyone else. However, thank you for a really great meal as usual & we will always support this steakhouse as their food is excellent.

    Our ribs were great , as usual , the calamari was super tender as usual. Our waitress was excellent. Only we found the band a tad bit too loud......though the singing was wonderful..When the lights were turned down , it was a bit too dark. Thanx.
