Established in 1990 Pirates Steakhouse has been one of Plumstead’s top dining destination for more than three decades winning a number of awards for excellence.

This family-owned business continues to offer local residents good quality, value for money meals, with an in-house Dining Club offering discounts to regulars; signing up is both free and easy.

In addition to the great food and friendly service they have some of Cape Towns top musicians performing in the restaurant nightly.

The separate pub area alongside the restaurant caters for both sport lovers and party goers with big screen TV’s and a dee jay every night till 4am. The kitchen is open around the clock with the main menu on offer till 2am, pizzas till 5am and pub burgers, toasted sandwiches and chips available 24/7.

    Steak was rare after asking for medium rare. Very bloody. Knife was blunt and had difficulty cutting sinew in steak. Pork ribs was beautifully done. The black mushrooms and dessert was very tasty. Altogether a pleasant experience. Value for money, service was good and ambience complimented the meal.

    My name is Mickey Rorich,guitarist and vocalist @Pirates on Thursday Nights,i booked a table of 14 but ended up with 30 of my friends,who thoroughly enjoyed the food and the vibe provided by Teejay and myself.Half of that crowd will be back next Thursday. Great evening had by all,thanks

    We took UK family to Pirates for steaks. They were over the moon with the standard of meat. Big portion sizes. Excellent service. Our waitress, Rashika, and hostess, Jane, we're friendly and professional. Thanks Pirates, you never disappoint.
