Established in 1990 Pirates Steakhouse has been one of Plumstead’s top dining destination for more than three decades winning a number of awards for excellence.

This family-owned business continues to offer local residents good quality, value for money meals, with an in-house Dining Club offering discounts to regulars; signing up is both free and easy.

In addition to the great food and friendly service they have some of Cape Towns top musicians performing in the restaurant nightly.

The separate pub area alongside the restaurant caters for both sport lovers and party goers with big screen TV’s and a dee jay every night till 4am. The kitchen is open around the clock with the main menu on offer till 2am, pizzas till 5am and pub burgers, toasted sandwiches and chips available 24/7.

    Very disappointed that the restaurant was out of Fillet. 3 of the 6 pax wanted a to order fillet steak. My son landed up ordering a rump steak and half was left as fatty and sinew. On a positive, our waitress was very good.

    Hi Hailey, so sorry that we could not sell you fillet on your visit. The exorbitant cost of fillet has reduced the sales dramatically and although we had stock - it had unfortunately passed its BB date. We are in the process of introducing some new menu items at a more affordable rate that we hope will appeal to fillet eaters, eg, Ostrich fillet and the likes, as we are aware that rump does not have the same appeal. We will continue to stock good fillet, but in smaller quantities to prevent losses.

    First time we have been back to Pirates for so time, but can certainly say that the standard is still the same as it's always been. We will definitely be back sooner than later.
