    Went for dinner to celebrate my birthday. Ambiance and our waitress Latoya were on par. The food however, was quite disappointing. Had prawn kataifi for starters, that was good. Then for mains, ordered the lamb shoulder with mushroom risotto. The lamb tasted and looked like it was canned meat, the sauce was super thick and bland, and the mushroom risotto had no mushrooms in it and had too much cream. It felt so rushed and could taste that it was not made with love and care. The quality was just not as good as before. The dessert however, was the star of the show, had crème brûlée and that was decent.

    Everything was perfect. This was the best dining experience I've had. Really enjoyed the food. The live band was immaculate. The ambiance just sealed it. The service was just too good. It was worth the travel(it's an hour away from home).

    An evening to remember. The ambience was enhanced by a professional live band, who has the skills of consistently creating good music, without ever overwhelming the possible conversations. The experienced somelier’s contrubution complemented the variety of tastes of the well- prepared and presented food. The Katifi prawn stood out as a perfectly prepared starter with the perfect ratio of pleasant flavours and textures. The spingbok carpaccio had an interesting sweet balsamic addition. Adding beetroot to traditional Caprese salad was a winner, as the flavours did not compete. The dill-foam served with the salmon lifted the dish to another level.

    Ive dined alone and with friends 4x now-the food is always excellent. one critique. To run out of excellent bread at 8:30 on a Saturday night seems un acceptable for a fine dining restaurant. Thank you
