Enjoy our pastry chef’s selection of petit gateaux and exquisite teatime treats as well as a selection of savoury delights. Served daily from 2:30PM to 4:30PM with a last seating at 3:30pm.

Bookings are essential and full payment is required in order to confirm the booking.

Kindly note that 24 hours’ notice is required in order to prepare everything for the Royal Tea and there may be an additional charge for specific dietary requirements.

    The Silo prides itself as being 5* luxury. That's fine but, when you do that, you need to ensure that it's not simply 'style over substance'. My family's Royal Tea experience with you recently was, in our collective view, exactly that, ie style over substance. The pastries were OK, but stale tasting, flabby, uninspiring and could well have been 'made some days earlier by an outside third-party business. Ditto the sandwiches, except perhaps, for the toasted egg sandwich which, for some reason, had an altogether fresher taste. We left much of the food untouched and when offered it in a box to take away, we declined. It was a special birthday visit. On arrival, the staff warmly greeted us and wished me a happy birthday. Nice touch. However, even that was spoilt when the additional birthday cake was brought to me on a plate saying 'Happy Anniversary' ! The waiter duly apologised but it sort of summed up our (culinary/Royal Tea) experience. As I say, when you bill yourself; and charge, for 5* luxury experience, style over substance just won't cut it. Sorry Silo. Tony and family.

    Another wonderful visit to the Silo for Afternoon Tea. Oswald was a fantastic waiter guiding us through the experience. The afternoon tea at the Silo is truly my favourite in the world and the food is exquisite. My only criticism is that we had to book through dineplan to confirm a reservation and were unable to leave a very well deserved gratuity via card to Oswald for his his excellent service, as we did not have any cash due to leaving South Africa the same day.

    This was a top notch experience! We booked for high tea. Staff was attentive, food and teas were delicious. I ordered a special egg-free tasting for myself (due to an allergy) and they went over and above what I could have asked for. Very happy indeed!

    A wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was a treat, the service warm and friendly from every staff member and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
