Nestled in the heart of Riebeek Kasteel, SAISEI is a contemporary Japanese dining destination created by chef Cheyne Morrisby. Inspired by the elements of Sea, Land, Earth, and Happy Endings, our carefully curated tasting menu invites guests on a progressive culinary journey that celebrates seasonality, craftsmanship, and discovery.

Each course is thoughtfully designed to showcase exceptional ingredients, refined techniques, and unexpected flavour combinations, blending Japanese tradition with a modern, creative approach.     Cheyne Morrisby at his very best. Great meal and so reminiscent of Cheynes Hout Bay. Wonderful flavours and tastes.

    We had the most amazing meal each & every dish had the most wonderful flavors. The service & ambiance were superb. Our return can't come quick enough.

    Excellent dining, innovative yet well prepared food. The only ‘slight’ blip in an otherwise 5 star experience is that all the servers are not well versed on ingredients. 100% worth the drive from CT
