    I recently visited The Winchester Hotel restaurant in Shoreditch and was extremely disappointed by the hygiene standards. While waiting for my food even after eating my dinner, I witnessed cockroaches crawling out from under the seating along the walls (the leather seats with grey tops). One of them even made its way onto the chair I was sitting on. I informed three different waitress about the situation, yet no manager came over to acknowledge the issue or offer an apology. What shocked me even more was how casually the matter was handled — it was treated as if this were a normal occurrence. When I asked to be moved, they complied, but to my disbelief, they then seated other guests in the exact same area I had just complained about. I understand that pest issues can occasionally arise in food establishments, but for a hotel that presents itself as a premium venue, this is completely unacceptable. The experience significantly impacted what was meant to be an enjoyable meal and has left me very disappointed. This level of cleanliness and the lack of accountability is far below what one would expect from a place of this standard.

    We had an incredible experience. Although it was unfortunate that the Courtyard was closed, our time in Shoreditch was still enjoyable. Our delightful Saturday on May 31st was made even better by the courteous and friendly waitresses. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a portion of our wedding anniversary at your establishment. We will definitely return!
