Nestled in the fertile Constantia Valley lies a 300-year old wine estate, Groot Constantia and on it, Simon’s Restaurant, where we celebrate the riches of the Cape winelands by transforming the freshest ingredients into memorable meals.

Revel in the Cape Town summer by dining al fresco on our terrace with panoramic views of the Groot Constantia vineyards. Savour the wines of the valley or enjoy our wide selection of craft beers. As the weather turns, join us inside where we like to light a giant fire on chilly days.

Less than 20 minutes from Cape Town city centre. Less than 15 minutes from Hout Bay and only 12 minutes from Newlands, Simon’s is the perfect winelands dining experience.

Our waiter was not familiarised with the wines available by the glass and the Pork Belly which I ordered was very dry and not very enjoyable.

Menu options are extensive, should find something to please even the fussiest eaters. We ordered the lamb shank, salmon, and one-pot chicken. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Not many options on the dessert menu. Our reservation was for 1 p,m and we were seated on the parking area side. Depending on the weather and time of day, the shading on the west side can be inadequate for a hot day. Otherwise, the setting is perfect. Prices could be considered a bit high, so it would not be a regular venue option for me. Perfect for a special occassion tho.

Our Christmas Lunch was disgusting. The meals were awful, the restaurant was hot with no aircon. The price we paid was ridiculous for what we received. My mom.sent her meal.back twice. Not value for.money. wine over priced. Will not see us again
