    The venues are beautiful, the gardens gorgeous. I was pleasantly surprised to find a full vegan menu and vegan main specials on the board. It is rare to find a restuarant where my family and I can both have a lot of choice. The food was very good indeed! Simons has a lot of different rooms, so there are a lot of people at any given time. Because of the amount of people, it can be noisy. I was difficult to hear the live music. Our waiter was very good, but also busy with a lot of tables, so it was occasionally difficult to ask for a refill. Overall experience was lovely.

    I am blown away by the absolute professional service we received from Simons. The management, all staff, the food was above exemplary. The touch of humbleness displayed by all was amazing. Well done Simons on an extraordinary service. this places you well above any other restaurant in Cape Town for sure.

    ⭐ 1-Star Review for Simon’s Restaurant We were absolutely shocked by our experience at Simon’s yesterday. Our bill for 6 adults and 3 children came to over R11,000, which is outrageous for what we received. The food was average at best — for example, the sole fish was R665 and nothing particularly special. We’ve been regular local patrons of Simon’s over the years, but this experience has completely changed our view. It’s clear that the restaurant now caters exclusively to tourists who aren’t aware of realistic South African pricing. The value simply isn’t there anymore. Sadly, we won’t be returning — there are many excellent restaurants in the Constantia area offering far better quality and value for money.

    when we arrived, we were placed in the corner on two tables in the veranda. Quite a surprise, as we discussed with Philda that we wanted a long table in front of the fireplace for our function. Luckily, we still had some time before the guests arrived, and a long table was set up for us last minute. Thereafter, everything went smoothly. I want to point out that Rachel, our waitress, was outstanding, very attentive, and spot on.

    Unfortunately, the staff are unskilled in serving and interacting with patrons. They were either unfriendly or patronising or badly trained in how to politely present the food to patrons of the restaurant.
