Hazendal’s flagship restaurant, Siyalima, a Zulu name meaning “we are farming”, reflects the estate’s deep-rooted philosophy of honouring the land through fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients cultivated in the Hazendal Harvest Garden.

The carefully curated menu, designed by Culinary Director Phil Carmichael, centres on precise, elegant cooking that highlights the natural flavours, aromas and textures of each ingredient. Thoughtful service complements an extensive wine list curated by Wine Commercial Director Joseph Dhafana, featuring Hazendal wines crafted by Cellar Master Kiara Scott Farmer, alongside a selection of respected local and international producers.

    We had the Ember 3-course experience, and the food was exquisite. Compliments to the Chef. The wine complimented the food well and had great service from the team. What a beautiful sunny afternoon on the "stoep" overlooking the pond. Thank you for a great experience.

    Compliments to the service, this is what top tier service is. From the moment you walk in you feel the warmth of the staff and they really take you in as their own. A special mention to Zandile and Prince, Zandile showcased world class hospitality as our waitress and really goes above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied and attended to. Prince is by far the best mixologist one has ever experienced, true passion really goes into his drinks and they are definitely worth the travel, please make sure you refer to Prince making your drinks, his whiskey sours are to die for!!! The overall experience was truly exceptional.

    We had a great dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was delicious, fresh, satisfying, well-presented and full of flavour. The farm is beautiful, warm atmosphere and excellent service made the visit memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for great food and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely return.
