    The starters were excellent and set a very high expectation. The venue and staff were also fantastic — great atmosphere and truly attentive, friendly service. Unfortunately, the mains were a complete letdown. The brisket was dry and lacked balance, with overpowering flavours — possibly aniseed or star anise — that felt like it was trying to compensate for the dryness. It was not enjoyable. The wagyu rump was also disappointing, lacking flavour and not memorable at all. The short rib was decent, but nothing exceptional — especially considering the expectations we had built up over months of anticipation and after such strong starters. My wife, my 17-year-old son, and I had been looking forward to this experience since last year. Considering the distance we travelled and the money spent, it was a major disappointment. Given the strong reputation of SMOKE Hazelwood, this experience was unexpected. I would genuinely appreciate feedback from the restaurant on what may have gone wrong on the day, as it did not reflect the standard we were expecting. Despite the excellent service and setting, the food — which is ultimately the reason for visiting — did not deliver. Based on this experience, it is a hard 2 out of 5.

    The overall experience was great. Meals beautifully prepared and we enjoyed each element. The only challenge limited dessert and cocktails were not nice.

    When we arrived, we were a bit confused, there was no one at the entrance to take us to our seats. We were sitting in the Capital Bar, the women who were sitting two seats from us were so loud and the tables are very close to each. other. Fortunately for us, when we got there, they were almost done and were about to leave. Food was absolutely delicious.

    Amazing food and nice atmosphere The prices are a little high But for a special occasion very nice As a family of 5 we enjoyed the food and and we were able to speak to each other without screaming at each other we will come again on a special occasion Thank you

    The owner and his guest was smoking at the table next to us in a non-smoking area with kids under 13 and babies at the surrounding tables. Left a literal bad taste in my mouth. Won’t go back to support such an establishment.
