    This was my third time attending, and unfortunately, it was the most underwhelming experience compared to previous years. It was disappointing to see that patrons were required to pay once the free tickets were “sold out.” Thankfully, I managed to secure free tickets, but it would have been even more frustrating had I paid. There were noticeably fewer exhibits this year, and many felt uninspired, with some not even functioning properly. Overall, it didn’t live up to the standard set in past years.

    We had a brilliant Saturday night at Spier, exploring the various light art installations as part of Spier Light 2026. We appreciated the upbeat, social buzz on the Werf and our vegan falafel burgers from Bubbles & Braai were super delish! But most of all, we loved walking along the pathways among the trees, under the night sky, taking in all the amazingly diverse, inventive and affecting light art installations. Dreamy and thought-provoking all at once.

    Having to make paid bookings as the free booking were sold out. I even tried telephonic booking but the lady was exceptionally rude. Had to make paid bookings for the entire party. I've been going since the 1st year. Would not recommend.
