The Terrace Restaurant is a family friendly outdoor venue with a spectacular view of the Magaliesberg silhouette. Renowned for our fresh food and country-style service. Our Menu is filled with a variety of choices to suite the whole family. Due to the change of seasons, we have a ever changing black board, so stop by from time to time and see what's new.

    From the moment you step out of your car, the peaceful surroundings with the huge trees, wide open field the little pigs and other animals wondering around, just makes Van Gaalen such a warm and inviting place to go , to enjoy a walk or a meal or even sipping a juice under the trees.What a lovely get together this was for us, yesterday, thank you for your excellent Venue, food and service (and for opening on a monday) We love visiting Van Gaalen.. peaceful and beautiful surroundings, menu has great variety, and staff are all friendly.

    Absolutely loved the venue with the best views. Perfect for a cute, calm day out. Would 100% recommend it for everyone. A lot of effort goes into the picnic baskets and the people is super nice.

    The river makes for amazing outdoor enjoyment. The friendliness of all staff is well noted. The food is 3 stars as alot of dryness in chicken meals and we ordered T Bones only to be told after a while that they have run out and this was at 1.30pm lunch order placed so found that really strange
