    What a pleasant surprise! We were in Paarl and took advantage of Proe Paarl, a restaurant initiative during the month of August. Adara is a boutique hotel, set in delightful grounds, with Kaap architecture buildings. The restaurant is rustic with numerous fires. The menu at 2 courses for R255 is outrageous value and each dish perfectly balanced and delicious. The vegetarian option pasta dish had the most sensational sauce. We indulged in a dessert having been so impressed by the two dishes and a citrus sago pudding was, also, excellent. So, well done chef, Gaymari (?), definitely on her game!

    We had a lovely lunch at Adara. Pearl, our waitron, was excellent. Adara's menu is priced about the same as any other restaurant in the Cape Winelands. This was a first visit for us but won't be the last. One of our party, who resides in Paarl, also didn't know about this hidden gem. The only complaint was that the dessert of Crepes Suzette wasn't made at the table, so it would have been special to have the chef prepare in front of us. Other than this, it was worth the visit.

    Beautiful setting. Staff are very friendly. Ambience great, unfortunately some of the diners did not want the 🔥 fireplace on🙄

    Beautiful farm but disappointing food so overpriced. Cold on arrival (all 4 dishes) and very small portions.
