    We waited over an hour for our food, despite booking, arriving on time and ordering when prompted. Our waitress never provided feedback, we had to ask. She then promised that the food was “almost ready”. Some 30 minutes later, still nothing, I had to go to the kitchen to find out the truth. (Amanda was our waitress.)

    The food ingredients are beautifully fresh! Just felt felt it lacked flavour for the price. Especially the Bream.

    We have been to The Beachhouse several times and recommended it to many, the 1 hour drive from home is surely worth it. I actually wrote a raving review on Google, but sadly this time was (a bit) disappointing. Not because of the food, delicious as usual, but the service was near to hostile. Where was maître D Josh who always takes good care of guests ? Usually I book online, this time I didn’t because my day was depending on other people. We arrived at 11h30 as per usual, as we love an early lunch, but were treated as if we were intruding and were told to come back at 12h, so I made a reservation on the spot, took a beachwalk and returned 20 min later, another table already there, and I wondered why this person had turned away a big group with the same "line" 20 minutes ago, who came right behind us ? Too much business so one can afford to be arrogant ? Surely not. But it really changed the mood...then, a waitress who was annoyed by the fact customers know their wines (and she clearly does not) waited till our starter was finished before bringing the bottle, as well as forgetting to take our mains. We tipped generously anyway, but that did not even bring a smile. After several great experiences with different staff, a truly very different and less nice experience this time. We hope the owners and management understand we want to see the restaurant bloom, but one cannot become complacent when things are going well. Hope things are back to great when we return.
