Opened in late 2015 at Nelson Mandela Square in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg The Big Mouth is a dining experience that you could easily find in a major city like New York, LA or London yet is still uniquely South African. Our menu varies from the freshest grilled seafood to gourmet burgers to a selection of world class sushi. The heart of the kitchen is our unique, world renowned Josper grill. This charcoal oven gives our hot dishes an authentic, robust chargrilled or “braai’d” flavour.

    We had an absolutely delicious meal at the Big Mouth! 3 of us had the sushi which was superb as always! The 4th member in our party had the sirloin on the bone which was cooked to absolute perfection and was juicy and tender! The service was excellent as it always is, super friendly staff and waitrons! We’ll be back soon!!! I highly recommend this restaurant! 5 stars all round for sure!

    Excellent food as always. The service was great, our waiter and the managers checked on us frequently. We were celebrating a birthday, and I mentioned this as we were seated and the message clearly wasn't relayed to our waiter. Regardless, we will be back.

    Big Mouth is just one of those restaurants that’s become an institution in Jhb and is always constantly on point, it’s always been our go to when we know whatever we order is going to be 10/10. Thank you for being one of thee most consistently great places to eat🫶
