Opened in late 2015 at Nelson Mandela Square in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg The Big Mouth is a dining experience that you could easily find in a major city like New York, LA or London yet is still uniquely South African. Our menu varies from the freshest grilled seafood to gourmet burgers to a selection of world class sushi. The heart of the kitchen is our unique, world renowned Josper grill. This charcoal oven gives our hot dishes an authentic, robust chargrilled or “braai’d” flavour.

    After 7 years I have started reintroducing meat into my diet and I was excited to once again have the Big Mouth lamb chops. I remember it being so succulent with the most amazing garlic pod. To my disappointment, I ordered the chops medium well (as I have always done in the past)and the chops were chewy and the garlic pod was dried out. We really enjoy the other items on the menu, my daughters favourite's are the the dim sums and the sushi (10/10). My husband had the oxtail which was delicious and my son had the steak which is consistently good. I really hope that I can once again enjoy succulent lamb chops at Big Mouth.

    A very enjoyable meal. Staff are very attentive and obliging. Food was excellent.

    The service was shocking!!!! Could not find the waitress. The food took forever to arrive. Not happy at all!!!

    Excellent sushi - always have it even though the rest of the menu is outstanding. Only feel that the wine price ( a glass of wine) is very expensive!
