We opened in 1998 and we have been the busiest restaurant in Camps bay since opening. We take pride in our work and provide the best Seafood quality. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

We do not advertise. We believe that the best advertising is word of mouth of happy guests and this is what has kept us full and busy for the last 17 years! A good name and great reputation cannot be bought. It has been earned through consistency over time.

We have no menus. Our warm and highly trained waitrons instead guide you through our extensive array of delicious and incredible selection of fresh seafood and help you to select an individual plate or platter for the table. They will explain as to the different tastes and textures of the seafood and how the food is prepared and served and show you the cost of your selection.

    Camps Bay prices - had much better sushi before - tasted a bit "old" and dry.

    Very busy spot, great concept to choose your own seafood and have it cooked. . I visualised having oysters and a nice whole fish. They only sell filets of fish and had run out of oysters by 7 pm, How? The filets were OK , grilled on a hot plate, no other way. If you want prawns and shellfish there is a lot to choose from. Pity about my fish . Been there, got the T Shirt .

    The huge range of fresh fish options make Codfather stand out amongst the Atlantic Seaboard restaurants. The wine list is outstanding and the staff well trained to advise on fish and wines. I down rated the ambience because as the restaurant got busier, it became incredibly noisy, leaving little chance to chat to friends across the table.
