We opened in 1998 and we have been the busiest restaurant in Camps bay since opening. We take pride in our work and provide the best Seafood quality. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

We do not advertise. We believe that the best advertising is word of mouth of happy guests and this is what has kept us full and busy for the last 17 years! A good name and great reputation cannot be bought. It has been earned through consistency over time.

We have no menus. Our warm and highly trained waitrons instead guide you through our extensive array of delicious and incredible selection of fresh seafood and help you to select an individual plate or platter for the table. They will explain as to the different tastes and textures of the seafood and how the food is prepared and served and show you the cost of your selection.

    This is seafood heaven. I had the best sushi I’ve ever had eaten and the selection of both sushi and fresh fish/shell fish was fantastic. Our waiter was great, helpful, knowledgeable and fun. Would definitely recommend but you need to book in advance.

    It was our First time at the Codfather. A friend of us advised us to go. The experience and the food was amazing. The Sauvignon brought the the dish to a balance, but off course that is personal. Our host, young but very experienced by the way she guided us through the process, explained and advised very good an to our liking. I can recommend everyone to have such experience. Enjoy!     Codfather is one of those restaurants that I’d visit every week. Courage was my waiter and he was super friendly and helpful. Of course the food was perfect and a huge variety to choose from. If you are a seafood lover - highly recommended!
