We opened in 1998 and we have been the busiest restaurant in Camps bay since opening. We take pride in our work and provide the best Seafood quality. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

We do not advertise. We believe that the best advertising is word of mouth of happy guests and this is what has kept us full and busy for the last 17 years! A good name and great reputation cannot be bought. It has been earned through consistency over time.

We have no menus. Our warm and highly trained waitrons instead guide you through our extensive array of delicious and incredible selection of fresh seafood and help you to select an individual plate or platter for the table. They will explain as to the different tastes and textures of the seafood and how the food is prepared and served and show you the cost of your selection.

    Codfather is one of those restaurants that I’d visit every week. Courage was my waiter and he was super friendly and helpful. Of course the food was perfect and a huge variety to choose from. If you are a seafood lover - highly recommended!

    Thank you everyone that made our day special. We celebrated 26 years of our wedding anniversary and we were treared with a little bubbly. The prawnes were absolutly amaizing. We selected different fish for the experience and it was prepared to perfection. The vegies were fresh and tasty.We had scallops for starters - delicious.Thank you Codfather Team !!!

    If I could i’d consider moving to Cape Town to be close to the Cod Father. It’s a lively restaurant with excellent staff and fantastic food. Their sommelier was one of a kind and just added that extra joy to the whole evening. Miss it and you miss out.
