We opened in 1998 and we have been the busiest restaurant in Camps bay since opening. We take pride in our work and provide the best Seafood quality. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

We do not advertise. We believe that the best advertising is word of mouth of happy guests and this is what has kept us full and busy for the last 17 years! A good name and great reputation cannot be bought. It has been earned through consistency over time.

We have no menus. Our warm and highly trained waitrons instead guide you through our extensive array of delicious and incredible selection of fresh seafood and help you to select an individual plate or platter for the table. They will explain as to the different tastes and textures of the seafood and how the food is prepared and served and show you the cost of your selection.

    If it weren’t for Godfrey, this evening would have been a total bust. TJ greeted us walking up to the table with her finger in her nose. The food was overrated The King clip was overcooked, calamari undercooked.. Nothing was that noteworthy. The prices were extremely expensive, especially compared to other comparable restaurants in Cape Town and I would never recommend it. We are from Florida and we know good food. We go to Joe’s stone crabs often, Berns steakhouse in Tampa others. The prices and food do not warrant hype. Do not waste your time!.

    Fantastic concept, amazing food and awesome service! We went twice (once for dinner and once for lunch) in only 4 days at Cape Town because we (and our kids) loved it :-)!

    Our first time in Camps Bay and so glad we chose Codfather as our dining venue for our first night. Amazing food (just be careful how much fresh fish you order - we just about got it right) and lovely venue and our host (fellow Man U fan) was so helpful and very attentive. We highly recommend a visit here if your staying in Camps Bay ❤️
