    I know this is a party restaurant,a fabulous one, but I go for the food! Food is always fresh and deliciously prepared. I had the best ever lamb chops and the best ever wagu burger at Duchess. Friends raved about the cob and kingklip. It is a must for residents and tourists alike.

    The restaurant was quiet and did not live up to the vibey reputation. The bathrooms did not have handwash, only bar soap. This is unhygienic. Food was excellent, prices ok. Good specials

    Another night for the books! From the moment you walk in, Theresa’s warm welcome makes you feel at home, she is a woman who pours her heart and soul into everything she does, and it shows in every detail. The evening unfolded exactly the way only this place knows how, filled with fun, laughter, dancing, and all the Duchess magic it’s so famously known for. The meal was absolutely incredible, paired with perfectly made cocktails by Dumi, somehow seamlessly delivered in between floating tequila shots and pure joy. The music is iconic, setting the tone for a night that feels effortless and electric all at once. The staff are exceptional attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel at home. It’s more than a restaurant. It’s a home away from home and one I’ll return to again and again. X

    Obviously i Do miss the original venue but I have to say given the new space the Duchess was very warm and inviting and certainly had a very similar feel to the whole space also the staff were certainly equally welcoming and helpful would certainly return
