    Celebrated my birthday with another couple, like always, the food was really good but our service was slow. Strange though because normally the service is excellent.

    This is my second time to The Fat Butcher, and the only place that we felt we had to come back to on this visit. It's such a cool place. The food is always amazing. The meats are the star, but they have the best mussels that I've ever eaten! The drinks and wine are on point. But the service is what elevates the whole experience. Shout out to our server, Danny who was amazing. If you can secure a table, don't miss The Fat Butcher!

    We were a bit disappointed by the service. It was not really genuine and did not receive any info about the meat, which we saw at the other tables. Food was great.

    We always visit the FB when in Stellenbosch. As ever the good meat was expertly cooked and the staff very friendly and efficient. A small note for Rita - the bearnaise sauce was NOT bearnaise. A gloopy mix with far too much vinegar and tasteless dried tarragon. But we be back next year!
