    the Old Farts Lunch Club (retirees from the construction industry) were privileged to be hosted in the Granary Cafe at the Silo Hotel. Most of them had not been to the Silo Hotel and were suitably impressed by their surroundings. The food was abundant and excellently presented - not an adverse comment (considering that these are semi old cantankerous men) came from any of them - surely this is testament to an excellent dining experience.

    Sadly not what it used to be. The waiter poured the wrong sauce over the dish which then had to be sent back and re-made. When one of your party is eating alone it somewhat ruins the ambiance. Food was ok, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. Felt like they were saving money or the staff were not as well trained.

    Amazing experience and thank you to Nigel for making this experience for my lady and I excellent. He was hands on made sure we had an amazing time. Will surely recommend and come back.
