Located on Beach Road in Cape Towns coastal village of Melkbosstrand, The Hart's food and service is only matched by its seaside views. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy and our staff efficient and welcoming. Our childrens menu caters for even the fussiest of eaters and the furry members of the family are provided with water bowls. The deck area is the perfect spot to enjoy our signature cocktails in the summer and coffee under heaters in the winter. Our menu is well designed, the food mouth-watering and most importantly, made with love.

    I booked online for 6 people outside (only booked late the night before so I was worried about reserving online) - everything was ready when we got there. We all had rosties: the chorizo, pulled pork and mackerel. All of them looked great and my chorizo one was incredibly tasty and filling! I like hard eggs, and my partner prefers runny - restaurants always mess it up. But all of ours were PERFECT - this never happens. I also had the biscoff cheesecake - I actually died and came back to life. I had to go for a very long beach walk after to recover from all of the eating, but I have no regrets. I'm very sad that I don't remember our waitress's name, but she was an absolute delight. The only downside was that it was very sunny and hot and there weren't enough well placed umbrellas for shade for us - but the waiters were very helpful and tried their best.

    Very positive experience. Staff are friendly, the breakfast we ordered was very good. Great view from the restaurant.
