Just to be open and honest, I had a very bad experience on Valentine’s Day. However, the owner, Natasha, reached out to me personally, and we decided to return last night for their R499 Date Night special. This time, the experience was a lot better. The food quality and service were easily 1000 times better than before. As a starter, the bread was toasted just a tad too hard, but once I soaked it in my daughter’s delicious tomato soup, it was actually very tasty. For mains, I had the steak — unfortunately mine was a bit chewy, but my husband’s steak was absolutely divine 💯. The manager noticed I wasn’t fully enjoying mine and immediately offered to replace it, which I really appreciated. The roasted vegetables are something I would personally skip next time, as they lacked flavour. I chose the R599 option to include dessert, and the malva pudding was absolutely delicious — sweet, rich, and definitely worth it. Other dishes at the table: Burger – Excellent Beef – Okay Tomato soup – Delicious Mussel soup – Delicious (my husband really enjoyed it) Steak with garlic potatoes – Very enjoyable A lovely touch was the cute plate with “Welcome” written on it and chocolate brownie décor — it made us feel special. The owner also gave us two vouchers that covered the R499 date night meals for my family. We paid for drinks and meal upgrades ourselves. That gesture was truly appreciated. The only thing I didn’t quite understand was being charged R48 for a very small portion of butter (about two teaspoons). It felt a bit overpriced, and it was listed as something else and scratched out as “butter” on the bill, which was slightly confusing. Overall, this experience was far better than the one two weeks prior. I really appreciate the effort from Natasha and the team to make things right. (The restaurant became very hot around 1930 reason for the ambience being 3 star)

We had a lovely evening. Unfortunately my friend's steak was full of tendons (senings). She could only eat part of the steak. I did tell the waiter about it, but she just ignored it and did not say anything. My steak was great.

Too hot inside we celebrated a birthday.Arrived at 1:30pm on Sunday 22 February. The air conditioning definitely needs a service. Disappointing in my sirloin steak 200g very burnt and half portion calamari was tasty but disappointed that there was more tentacles than calamari and to pay R289 is rather pricey. Our bill was R1650 for 5 people including a beer and alcohol free cocktail which was offered to the birthday boy but was charged R89 for a tiny champagne glass. We drove from Table View all the way to Durbanville to celebrate our grandson 25th birthday with other family from Johannesburg. There was also no music as they usually have. So it was really disappointing.
