    No, as it actually didn't take place. The reservation made online and confirmed in person the day before, and the table chosen in person the day before was not waiting for us. We were made to wait over an hour with different lies and excuses. We had to get the manager involved and he handled the situation poorly. So poorly we walked out and had to postpone our anniversary dinner as it was already late.

    After having the best steak I’ve ever eaten, I just had to share my experience at Hussar Grill Franschhoek. From start to finish, everything about this meal was exceptional. 🥩 The Food The steak was absolute perfection — cooked exactly as I asked, tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. You can really taste the quality of the meat and the care that goes into preparing it. The peppercorn sauce was rich and perfectly balanced, complementing the steak beautifully. The sides, especially the creamed spinach and crispy chips, rounded off the meal wonderfully. 🍷 Drinks & Atmosphere Their wine list is impressive, with a great selection of local Franschhoek wines — and I love that you can bring your own bottle with no corkage fee! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with that classic steakhouse charm and attentive service that made the evening feel special without being pretentious. 👏 Service The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly take pride in what they do. Our waiter checked in just enough to make sure everything was perfect without hovering — exactly what you want for a relaxing dinner. 🌟 Final Thoughts If you’re in Franschhoek and craving a top-class steakhouse experience, Hussar Grill is a must. It’s everything you’d want — great food, great wine, great service. Easily one of the highlights of my trip

    We booked in advance and were placed near the Kitchen. The noise was so loud with the waiters and chefs talking loudly, felt like we were in a bazaar. Eventually we were moved to a slightly quieter table. Service was OK except we did not get everything ordered but were charged nonetheless. Suggestion to patrons, do not sit in the section near the kitchen.

    Everything was simply terrible! A fillet steak that was barely chewable and service that didn't react at all to the situation, even though it was brought up. It ended up being a slushy evening. Sorry, and I sincerely hope we were just unlucky. Regards, Thorsten.
