    Food top notch, our three steak dishes cooked exactly as requested and all delicious. Unfortunately neither of the game choices were available. Slightly unfair on my ambience rating : the excessively raucous party (well oiled?) with screechingly 'hysterical' females, in the open kitchen area, was not the fault of the restaurant, but the rest of us could certainly hear them, and have done without. Conversation at own table consequently quite difficult. Our waitress was friendly and engaging and service was excellent

    Our first dinner in Franschhoek was at The Hussar Grill, and it was excellent. We arrived a bit late due to a delay in our flight, but we were warmly welcomed and they took our order five minutes before the kitchen closed so we could still have dinner. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very beautiful, and the service was great and kind.
