    I would give all round 5 stars but my request when making a booking was ignored. I explicitly told the operator I want a booth seating for 7pm, he confirmed by saying its in the library and I agreed. It was our anniversary (as I explained to him) and wanted it to be special. Upon arrival, we were seated by the entrance, no form of privacy as everyone keep going in and out and it made me a bit upset as I had merely one specific request. Our server was excellent ,the 3 stars is not towards him he was great as always! 3 stars for our requested seating during reservation being "ignored" , food was excellent. I just wish they would've reserved a booth as I requested.

    This was not really a great experience for us. We are huge fans of Hussar in Cape Town and were hoping for the same experience in Franschhoek. The meat was not great - ordered Medium rare and got very rare, the veggies had no flavour and were a bit uncooked - even one of my fries wasn't properly cooked and the bearnaise sauce just tasted like butter. It was not great and I will not go back again, unfortunaltely.
