    This is the second time in two weeks that we have been to Hussar Grill in Franschhoek, one of our go-to places when we have friends and family over, but for the second time around, the food was not up to standard; the steak was either over- or undercooked. When we arrived at 19:30, it was not even busy, with reserved signs all over; our table was not set at all. We were 4 guests, but places for two were halfway set... the waiter did not even notice, so we called the manager on duty, who could not really care much and just said, 'Oh, so sorry,' and a few minutes later the table got set as we were still seated, and we were not even offered to move to the table next to us that was already set properly. Card machines, like the previous time, are not working properly. Oh sorry, it's new, so we have problems. We had to use 3 card machines before payment are processed (NOT GOOD). All in all, I must say that the quality and service have gone down so much in Franschhoek; being a guesthouse manager, I would rather ask my guests to go somewhere else, as I would not like them to have this kind of experience.

    Good for steaks and great service , quite a few items out of stock due to supply issues but the server covered this off well

    I have dinned all over SA at Hussar Grill, unfortunately my experience at Franschhoek was not the best. The sever took our order, we all ordered kingclip. The sever returned 10 mins latter to inform us there was no Kingclip, I ask why and was informed due to the busy holiday period they had run out. I understand that stock can run out but surely this should have relayed to the server before his shift. We all reordered various meals which was adequate but unfortunately our dinning experience had been “soured”
