    I recently dined at Hussar Grill Hermanus and ordered the fillet steak on the bone with blue cheese sauce and garlic new potatoes. The food itself was very enjoyable, and my waiter was both attentive and knowledgeable, especially when recommending wines. However, as a solo traveller, I was seated in a section of the restaurant where there were no other guests, which left me feeling isolated from the main atmosphere. My main meal arrived within five minutes of ordering, which felt unusually fast and gave the impression that the experience was being rushed. As soon as I finished my main course, I was immediately offered dessert, again adding to the feeling of haste. Although I would have liked to stay longer and enjoy the evening, the overall experience felt rushed and disconnected. A little more time and a more inclusive seating choice would have made the visit far more enjoyable.

    Portion of fries with the burgers has shrunk and is now small. A plain cream sauce was served instead of the garlic sauce ordered - it was replaced when pointed out to staff. But we love Hussars and the quality of the burger itself and the chips is very good.
