Established in 1964, the Rondebosch Hussar Grill is one of the oldest grillrooms in the country and is a true Capetonian favourite that has been serving the finest South Africa beef to generations of loyal and dedicated guests for the past 50 years. Situated in the leafy suburb of Rondebosch, the restaurant is filled with character and embodies the finest of grill room traditions.     We always enjoyed our meat orders - but lately it seems policy to burn the meat black with the marinade which is unacceptable and unhealthy!!

    Always good value and good food. The venue has a wonderful atmosphere, truly one of our traditional favourites where one is happy to have spent time.

    There are not enough stars for this place. Our waitress, Michaela, was exceptional. The steak and ribs were cooked to perfection. Love this place so much. X

    My party did not use the restrooms hence the no comment. The Hussar Rondebosch has consistently remained one of my favourite steakhouses for many many years and I appreciate that they always cook steaks as requested! The ambience of the Hussar is like an old friend and always welcoming, however it was quite noisy and the patron at the next table took a phone call with her speaker on, which was quite intrusive.
