    Horrible steak! And old bread... My wife and I went on a Tuesday for the "Date night" special - in hind sight it was a bad mistake as the bread that came with her chicken livers was old and inedible. But worst of all was the steak: her sirloin smelt like it was on the brink of going off and it was terribly tough. My rump (upgraded to 300g for R40) was as tough as a shoe sole and lacked flavour. The service was mediocre. We had such high expectations of the Hussar but we will NEVER go back there again - next time we'll just go to the Spur next door where I believe we will get better food. My calamari starter was nice and so was the Hussar wine. Management: Do not bother sending me a link to discuss this matter further - in this industry you get one chance and you messed it up. There are too many choices for us as consumers.
