The Kraal Restaurant at Joostenberg Wine Estate is a laid-back winery restaurant, serving slow, seasonal lunches and organic Joostenberg wines. We work with freshest, local produce and our menu changes every week. Tables are set between fruit and olive trees in the shaded, stone-walled courtyard in summer, and inside the cosy, rustic wagenhuis in winter.

This is the time to slow right down and embrace everything there is to love about winter on a farm in the Cape - wines with structure, richness and deep flavours and plates of food that feel like a comforting hug.
- Our generous family style, farm-to-table 3-course lunches tell a story of the current season and are planned to pair beautifully with our suggested wines. Served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at R565 pp. Booking is essential.
- Our Wagenhuis Winter Lunch includes a tasting flight of our 3 estate red wines, Bakermat, Klippe Kou, and Philip Albert, and a main dish of our farm reared lamb or beef with seasonal sides, all served in our usual generous family style. R350 pp. Available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 17 July to end August 2026. Booking is essential.
- Taste our estate wines. Allow some time to enjoy an informative tasting flight of 5 wines that reflect the character and soul of Joostenberg Estate. R105 pp.
