The Dance of the Footnote

The Kraal at Joostenberg Estate hosts unique food, wine, farm and cultural events through-out the year.

Our next event is The Dance of the Footnote taking place on Saturday 7 February, a summer evening of original, live music, estate wines and farm supper.

Over the last two years Philip Myburgh and Jenny Hall have co-composed a number of songs as part of a musical journey titled ‘ the dance of the footnote’ Jenny (on guitar, piano and vocals) and her husband James (on violin) will perform the songs that are the fruit of the collaboration between Philip and Jenny. ‘ Jenny and James’ are the well-known duo who regularly perform in and around Cape Town. As part of the show Philip will be telling the story of the songs he has composed with Jenny, a story that spans many decades from his days as a student to the present.

Ticket price is R475pp. This includes the show and summer supper served by The Kraal.

Wines and other drinks will be available to purchase from our wine list.

    What a nice morning about vineyards, wines and old Cape Dutch Architecture with Joostenberg Wines winemaker. Highly recommended and fantastic wine tasting.

    As always, the Kraal delivered on an intimate evening with much needed hors d'oeuvres, great steak, and wines to match. To top it off, winemaker Tyrrel was on-hand to walk us through their Cabernet Sauvignon vintages. Highly recommended.
