The Lookout Deck sits two stories higher than the open Indian Ocean and is considered a destination for locals and visitors. Sitting directly on the Keurbooms Lagoon
and Lookout Beach, The Lookout Deck offers unobstructed ocean views, gentle breezes, and the glamorous light of Pletts famous sunsets to add a hint of tropical colour to your cocktail.
A place where neighbours, friends, family and even strangers come together for a memorable Plett experience. After all, this is what you came to Plett for.
We do not take bookings on the Deck and work on a first come first serve basis!
Joining The Deck is its “big sister” Equinox flame & flavour. Literally sea-side, Equinox sits on the Lookout beach and offers holiday makers and residents a classy and casual choice, while celebrating the best of what Plett has to offer – extraordinary seascapes, blue flag beaches, great food and good company. Equinox – new, different and fresh!

    This venue is beyond amazing in terms of the views. It is a gem. But that's unfortunately where it ends. The food was a huge disappointment. We were 5 people who joined the Lookout for dinner. All 5 meals were lacking. Our kids had the calamari which was battered with not a hint of spices/flavour. My grilled calamari read beautifully on the menu with cajun spice mentioned, not a hint of cajun spice or salt for that matter. Absolutely no flavour. My dad had the burger which was shocking, also read beautifully on the menu but did not even have the pickles on. My husband had the prawn pint which is completely overcooked and had not a single hint of the ocean left in it. Everything was priced way too high for what we got. We sent at least 80% of the food back. I could not finish the food because the quality was so poor. This was mentioned to our waiter and he spoke with the manager. They decided to remove one of the kids calamari portions from the bill which is shocking to say the least. The managers poor response was just thank you for pointing this out to us; without your feedback we wouldn't know. It seemed to be more about how this is helpful to them than it was to manage the customer experience. We paid with a very heavy heart because none of us had eaten a proper meal. We went to the local Spar in Piesang Valley after our visit to the Lookout to get dinner. That food from the local Spar was more satisfying than the food this restaurant delivered. We will never return to this restaurant and we will also never recommend it to anyone. An absolute waste of our hard earned money on our vacation.

    Service was shockingly poor. Food took over an hour to arrive and only after I complained to the manager.
