Melkbos Kitchen features a front row seat to the most beautiful sunsets in South Africa.

Come enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner with us. We have a varied menu (with vegan options) that changes seasonally as well as a blackboard with current linefish or any other specials we may be running at the time

Thur, Fri & Sat 10h00 - 21h00

Kindly note that we are in a residential area with strict zoning restrictions so our last food orders and last drinks rounds are called well in advance to comply with these rather boring but strictly enforced zoning restrictions.

We do love children and furry friends but are primarily an adult based environment so do not offer a play area for children or a kiddies menu. Furry ones are welcome in our outdoor area only as long as they remain on their leash, are not aggressive to other guests, furry ones or our team and they may not sit on our chairs or be fed in the dining area.

We are a strictly no smoking venue, regardless of what you puff ... a bench is however provided in an area outside of the dining areas for our smoking guests.

As a limited capacity venue we do advise that reservations are made well in advance..
And after all of that blah blah .. we look forward to welcoming you to our space soon and just know you will enjoy !!..

    Food was great and the setting amazing. We di however book a table on the front portion inside via the "Dine Plan" app but got a table on the inside. Maybe next time we can sit at the from portion inside. Thank you.

    Good Day Mr Strydom, We do thank you for the lovely review but would like to advise that you had actually booked outdoors seating (not inside) on the Dineplan App and we then moved you to a last available indoor table when we saw that the weather was going to be windy and thus unpleasant to sit outdoors on the day. Thank you once again.

    It was most unfortunate that the table I had personally and specifically chosen, as my 92 year young mum was with us, was not reserved however management did accommodate a move halfway through the meal. Exceptional food and great value! Will definitely visit again!!

Please do however note that we do not guarantee or book specific tables, we will only confirm a specific dining area (inside, porch or outdoors) and whilst we will always try our best to accommodate your request it sometimes is just not logistically possible, especially during high season.     We had a great time, food was delicious , the staff are friendly and well trained, they even accommodated us even though we got our booking date wrong. Just one little constructive feedback is I wouldn't have at the bottom of the menu that you can't change anything on your meal etc the language is just super unwelcoming but the experience is to the contrary , on first glance this does put you off , but like I said super friendly and accommodating. Loved it, we will be back.

    My family of 6 love this restaurant! I ordered the baked Kingklip with cheese and buttery mash which was excellent. Seafood platter plus extra prawns was devoured, Pork fillet was tender and tasty. The large portion of ribs was well received and came home in a takeaway box for later. Argentinian prawns were fantastic and were picked clean! There was no wind on this day (unusual for Capetown this time of the year) which made a walk along the beach memorable.
